Fibonacci stripes are one of my obsessions. My first pattern is a hat which incorporates the Fibonacci sequence, and I went on with a matching cowl and now this shawl.
Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician from the Middle Ages, considered one of the most talented of his era. He introduced the number sequence (used in this cowl) from India to Europe.

Approx 100 g, 520 m / 568 yd any fingering-weight yarn, 50 g of each colour

Blocking pins
Needles
4 mm (US size 6), 50 cm / 20” circular needles, or size to obtain correct gauge
Gauge
22 sts and 28 rows over 10cm / 4” in garter stitch, wet blocked.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will determine yarn required and final measurements
