It's been a while:  I haven't published a new pattern in months!

This pattern is ready to go since ages, but I had other priorities (like wholesale orders and fairs to attend to) and I hadn't find the time to publish it until now!

My friend Cinzia  sent me 2 balls of Katia Silky Lace: 80% merino, 20% silk.

The colours are shiny and bold, and the yarn is very pleasant to knit with. 

2 colours means stripes.

Stipes means Fibonacci to me :)

And this mark the third pattern in my personal Fibonacci Galore!

Back to Stripes is a very simple asymmetrical shawl.

It is available in both English and Italian.

Starting from as few as 3 stitches, this shawl grows and grows, while interchanging stripes of different colours for different lengths. 

It's the perfect mindless TV knitting: you sit down, fire up Netflix, and knit, paying little attention to your knitting if not to change colour.

Approx 100 g, 520 m / 568 yd any fingering-weight yarn, 50 g of each colour

Tapestry needle to weave in ends 
Blocking pins

Needles 
4 mm (US size 6), 50 cm / 20” circular needles, or size to obtain correct gauge

Gauge 
22 sts and 28 rows over 10cm / 4” in garter stitch, wet blocked. 
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will determine yarn required and final measurements
